Buldhana: Videos of an AIMIM rally in Buldhana, Maharashtra, show party activists raising the slogan ‘Aurangzeb Amar Rahe’ meaning ‘long live Aurangzeb’. The slogans were raised supporting the Mughal king when President of AIMIM, Asaduddin Owaisi was addressing the people.

The video, which had gone viral on social media, was captured on 24th June 2023, during a rally organized by the AIMIM at Buldhana. The supporters of Owaisi and Aurangzeb also shouted slogans meaning Aurangzeb will be remembered for all time.

The local police said that they have received the videos and are investigating the matter. However, the police informed that no complaint has been given by anyone. Moreover, they are taking legal advice on the matter and promised that action will be taken after it.

In the videos it is can be seen that when the slogans were raised, AIMIM leaders where laughing. Asaduddin Owaisis is also seen smiling and seems to enjoy the enthusiasm of the crowd.

Reports say that Owaisi was saying yes that he (Aurangzeb) will be remembered to calm the crowd and also gesturing them to keep quite.

Recently, tensions broke out in Kolhapur after a WhatsApp status began circulating glorifying the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. Tensions also spread in Ahmednagar when Muslim radicals supported Aurangzeb.

Mughal king Aurangzeb, a tyrannical ruler of the Mughal dynasty, is considered a strong supporter of Islam and had a dream of converting the whole of India into Islam during his lifetime. Hindus were persecuted under him and many were forced into conversion or put to death.

Like Tipu Sultan, Aurangzeb, is a controversial figure when it comes to their treatment of Hindus under their rule and elsewhere. Islamic fundamentalists make it a point of glorifying these rulers to sow fear in the minds of the majority population.

Lately, Maharashtra deputy CM, Devendra Fadnavis said that Muslisms in India are not descendants of Aurangzeb and that we only have one king and that is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
