The announcement was made by General Officer Commanding in Chief (GOC-in-C) South Western Army Command, Lt. General Alok Singh Kler.

The commander was speaking at a seminar on Artificial Intelligence at Hisar military station. He said that the mechanized forces of the military will be integrated with the AI military hardware.

Lt. General Alok Singh Kler said, “For using AI for military usage and mechanised forces, the Army has to become completely network-centric. Presently, we are very network-enabled.”

He said that in  2-3 years the Army will be using AI for constructive and disruptive usage. The military officer also said that AI will assist the Indian Army in space, water and air and will lead the future of warfare.

The Indian Military is undergoing a sea change in its structure and capabilities in the last five years. Already, the country has advanced research centres which have developed indigenous weapons that boost the Indian military striking powers.
