New Delhi: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Sunday laid a wreath at the National War Memorial on the occasion of Infantry Day.
Infantry Day is observed as a remembrance of the Indian Army when it repelled the first attack on the Indian soil, post-independence on October 27, 1947, in the Kashmir Valley.
The personnel of the First Battalion of The Sikh Regiment accomplished the victory.
