Kinnaur: A soldier allegedly had gone missing after he reportedly slipped and fell into the Sutlej river while negotiating a crossing near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
The Indian Army on Friday launched a large scale search and rescue operation to locate the missing soldier Parkash Rella, who hails from Andhra Pradesh and belongs to 7th Madras Regiment.
As per reports, a group of 10 soldiers of the 7th Madras Regiment had went on a short range patrol on April 7 and on their return they found that two soldiers have gone missing. They went back to trace them but in vain.
On April 8, one of the missing soldiers was found in an injured condition. He was brought back to the camp and is undergoing treatment.
The other jawan is yet to be traced.
