New Delhi: As part of India’s outreach amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Indian Naval Ship Kesari has departed for Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Comoros carrying on board two medical assistance teams, medicines and essential food items.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that the medical teams will be assigned in Mauritius and Comoros to deal with COVID emergency and dengue fever (in Comoros).
The ship will deliver consignments of COVID related essential medicines to Mauritius, Madagascar, Comoros and Seychelles and about 600 tonnes of food items to the Maldives. A special consignment of Ayurvedic medicines is also being sent to Mauritius.
