Ladakh: In the violent clash that erupted on Monday night between the Indian and Chinese troops at Galwan Valley in Ladakh along the LAC, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is reported to have suffered 43 casualties.
The clash arose from “an attempt by the Chinese side to unilaterally change the status quo” on the border.
“Indian intercepts reveal that Chinese side suffered 43 casualties including dead and seriously injured in face-off in the Galwan valley,” sources told News Agency ANI.
However Chinese media had reported that 5 of their soldiers were reportedly killed although the number of casualties are yet to be confirmed.
Also the national media reported that 20 Indian soldiers laid down their lives during the violent clash.
