New Delhi: Union Defence Ministry on Saturday responded to the allegations by the Congress party over the condition of Army hospital in Ladakh that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited yesterday.

The grand old party raised questions on the atmosphere of the hospital after photographs of PM Modi’s interaction with injured soldiers surfaced the internet. Responding to it, Defence Ministry called the questions “malicious and unsubstantiated accusations”.

The Defence Ministry in a statement said that the Armed forces give the bets possible treatment to their personnel.

“It’s clarified that the said facility is part of the Crisis Expansion capacity of 100 beds and is part of the General Hospital complex,” explained the ministry.

The statement further read that, “The injured braves have been kept there since their arrival from Galwan to ensure quarantine from COVID areas. The Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane and the Army Commander have also visited the injured braves in the same location.”

The Congress has stooped low by raising questions when its leader Abhishek Dutt asked, “From which angle does this look like a hospital. There is no drip bottle, medicine, or water bottle beside the beds, there is a photographer in place of a doctor. But, all our soldiers are healthy and fine by God’s grace.”
