Leh: Images of Chinese troops armed with stick-machetes during their deployment along the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh has emerged.
In the pictures, it is clearly seen Chinese soldiers standing with stick machetes even with their rifles slung on their back. The Indian Army is full in might and is not allowing them to come close in order to avoid yet another violent face-off like that happened in Galwan valley.
This means that China in the Galwan valley had also used arms on June 15 in which both sides suffered casualties.
The Indian Army on Tuesday said that while India is committed to disengagement & de-escalating situation on the LAC, China continues to undertake provocative activities to escalate. At no stage has the Indian Army transgressed across the LAC or resorted to use of any aggressive means, including firing.
Indian Army had accused the PLA for blatantly violating agreements and carrying out aggressive manoeuvres, while engagement at military, diplomatic and political level is in progress.
On Monday, China’s PLA troops attempted to close-in with one of the forward positions along the LAC & when dissuaded by own troops, PLA troops fired a few rounds in the air in an attempt to intimidate own troops.
