New Delhi: Reportedly, 10,000 women have applied so far in the Navy wing of Agnipath recruitment. It was a historical and remarkable decision to include women in the Navy Force.

After being selected in the navy forces, they will be recruited in warships. As per the figures till last Sunday, 10,000 women have already registered.

Once the registration is completed, they can give the online application.
The date of giving online application is from July 15 to 30.

The number of women Agniveers among the total members are yet to be decided. The Navy Agniveers will begin their training on November 21st. INS Chilka will arrange facilities for both women and Navy Agniveers.

The Agnipath scheme was announced by the union defence minister Rajnath Singh on 14th last month. The candidates within the age group of 17.5 to 23 can apply to various forces under the project. Among the Agniveers, 25 percent will be reassigned in the force after the first 4 years of service.

Meanwhile, several state governments have come up with various offers to the Agniveers including priority in the recruitment of the state employments.
