New Delhi: Territorial Army (TA), a wing of the Indian Military Force, is now going to appoint Chinese language experts in the military force. As per reports, the authorities are planning to appoint 6 Mandarin trained officials between 18 – 42 years. Among these, 5 will be selected from the civilian candidates and the remaining one will be an ex-serviceman.
The new decision was made in midst of the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) attempts to appoint Hindi translators.
The candidates who completed degree courses from a Chinese University will be eligible for the appointment.
Since the last few years, the Indian military forces have been giving training in the Mandarin language and the report says that there are Mandarin experts in all fields.
The Army force clarified that it has already received permission to include mandarin experts in the force. It is said that the Chinese language experts will be helpful in both the strategic and analysis field.
The Army has signed agreements with Rastriya Raksha University (RRU), Central Gujarat University (CUG) and Shiv Nadar University (SNU) to provide Mandarin proficiency to the soldiers.
The Tibetology training is also provided for the soldiers to study the language, culture and history of the Buddhists. Such appointments are aimed at helping the senior military personnel to form military strategies in the region.
