New Delhi: MH-60r multi-mission helicopters reach the country to join with the Indian Navy force. The Indian Navy received two of the US-made India-Roll helicopters purchased under the contract from the Kochi International Airport today. The third helicopter will reach India on 22 August.
India has signed a contract with the US to buy twenty four MH-60r multi-mission helicopters in total. Country had received the first three Romeo helicopters in 2021 and it was given to the practice of the Indian Navy officers.
As per reports, India will receive all the twenty four helicopters by 2025.
India signed the contract with the US in 2020.
India buys the Romeo, which is considered to be the world’s most advanced helicopter, from Lockheed Martin, a US-based aerospace company. It will be a great asset to the nation’s defence sector.
