The celebrities of the film industry welcomed the Central Government’s decision to merger the Film Association under National Film development Corporation (NFDC). Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, Director Priyadarshan, lyricist Manoj Muntashir, Director Anil Sharma are some of the celebrities who extended their support to the Central Government.
Kangana backed the decision to merge the Films Division, the Directorate of Film Festivals, the National Film Archives of India and the Children’s Film Society and the NDFC. She called the merging as the new normal in M&E sector.

Indian Lyricist Manoj Muntashir tweeted that the I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar deserves praise for the decision. Directors Anil Sharma and Priyadarshan said that the they have great hopes from it and termed it as a welcome step.
