As the new film ‘Oppenheimer’ is slated to release on July 21, a new trailer was dropped on YouTube today. The new trailer features a snippet into the world of Oppenheimer, led by a talented cast, making the audience exposed to what to be expected from the film.
The Christopher Nolan written and directed work is based on the real-life incidents of J Robert Oppenheimer, who was famously known for his contributions to the Manhattan Project that created the first atomic bomb. Oppenheimer is called as father of the atomic bomb.
The trailer which ran for a duration of more than three minutes shows a variety of characters and situations which led to the making and experimentation of the atomic bomb, and what all transpired because of it. The trailer also shows some footage of the atomic bomb visuals in the film, which was recreated without the use of any CGI.
Cillian Murphy will be playing the lead role of Robert Oppenheimer, with Emily Blunt playing the role of his wife, Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer. The rest of the ensemble cast includes Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, Gary Oldman, Jack Quaid, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie and much more.
The film will have cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema who’s worked with Nolan since Interstellar. Scores will be composed by Ludwig Göransson who previously collaborated with him on Tenet.
In July 2022, the first trailer of the film was released featuring the 65mm black and white colour palette photographic IMAX shots of the film. Nolan has previously used black and white colour palette shots in movies like “Following” and “Memento”.
