New Delhi: In a matter of hours, India will witness a massive clash on the big screen between their favourite superheroes and the mad Titan, Thanos. Desi fans of the Marvel comics are super excited to see what will unfold in the Marvel comics next. After all they waited 12 grueling months pondering over the fates of their beloved superheroes.
‘Avengers: The End Game’ will be hitting the theaters tomorrow and already a huge wave is building up in anticipation. The Hollywood film is already a box office sensation. One online booking site announced that it sold around 1 million tickets within a day when advanced booking was opened on Saturday.
The movie will release in 2,500 theaters across India.
Box office is expecting a whopping Rs. 250 crore in collections from across the country. The previous Avengers movie ‘Infinity War’ had bagged Rs. 228 crore from Indian theatres.
Walt Disney, the distributor of the movie, is going all out to market the Avengers franchise in India. They are spending an estimated Rs. 15 crore for the marketing activities in the country. The US distributor have already roped in big names in Indian movie industry to bring in more movie goers.
A. R. Rahman did the Endgame theme in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Tamil movie maker Murugadoss wrote the Tamil sub-titles and voice over for Iron Man was given by none other than Tamil superstar, Vijay Sethupathi and Andrea Jermiah lends her voice to the Black Widow.
However, media reports that website Tamilrockers leaked the movie online two days before its release.
Avengers: End Game is the penultimate movie that began with Iron Man way back in 2008. Since then the Marvel Comic Universe unfolded the Marvel Comic Universe or MCU in 22 movies spanning over a decade. Superheroes like Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, the Incredible Hulk, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Dr. Strange, and more appeared in movies after movies to fight it out from dangers from space.
End Game is the direct sequel to Infinity War which was released last year. In the movie the super villain, Thanos, is able to gather the powerful ‘Infinity Stones’ that could control the entire universe. The movie ends with the Avengers failing to stop Thanos from wiping out half of the living organisms of the entire universe with the snap of his finger.
For the adherent fans of the MCU, the loss of half of their most loved super heroes is more than they could endure. Their only hope now lies in what the rest of the Avengers will do to defeat the all power Thanos in the End Game.
Avengers: End Game is directed by the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joseph Russo, who had directed four previous Avengers movie including the Infinity War.
