Mumbai: In a big exposure, Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur revealed the severe horrific torture she went through while being in the custody of Maharashtra Police. Thakur was speaking to Republic Media Network’s editor in chief Arnab Goswami on Wednesday when she opened up about the terrifying treatment she received from the present Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, who was then an investigation officer of Malegaon blast case.

” Param Bir Singh said to his policemen ‘you don’t have enough strength, I will show you how it’s done,” said Thakur as told by Singh to his policemen and inflicted torture on her.

Sadhvi Pragya continued saying that Parambir Singh lashed heavily on her with the belts of other policemen and physically hit her continuously that she collapsed.

“He did not stop at that, he continued beating me and torturing me even after I collapsed and lay unconscious on the floor. Then they discreetly took me to some hospital and when the hospital submitted the report, it stated that my lungs are damaged due to the brutal assault by the policemen. I used to be physically fit but today my state is such that I struggle to even walk independently. I manage to walk a few steps and then there are days when I am bedridden for days because my spinal cord has been damaged and I have been facing several other health issues due to the torture that I will never be able to become fit again,” Sadhvi Pragya said while narrating the details of the torture to Arnab Goswami.

She went on to narrate that Param Bir Singh had beaten her with sticks and belts, abused her, and it will be less to call him a demon. Apart from him, other officials like Inspector Avad, Swarna Shinde etc were involved in the brutal torture inflicted on her.

Thakur was in the custody of ATS for 22 days, and she faced the worst torture during this period, particularly from Param Bir Singh and Hemant Karkare, she said.

‘Had I confessed that I was behind the blasts due to the torture, Congress would have succeeded in proving its allegations of saffron terror as true as I wear Saffron,” she said.

The BJP MP said that she has fought to save the country for the future and people like them will continue to fight for the safety and integrity of this country.

Sadhvi Pragya claimed she was falsely implicated in the Malegaon Blast case which took place in 2008. She was targeted to create allegedly a Hindu terror conspiracy.

It is to be noted that Republic TV has been exposing all lies and conspiracies of the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government mainly the Palghar lynching case and Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Since then the Congress-Shiv Sena have been viciously attacking Arnab Goswami and the Republic Media Network.
