Kolkata: Former Trinamool Congress leader Suvendu Adhikari joins BJP. Adhikari was welcomed to BJP by the Central Home Minister Amit Shah during his Mitnapur visit.

Suvendu Adhikari said that the reigns of Bengal should be handed over to Modi in order to save Bengal from destruction. He also mentioned his regards to Amit Shah for welcoming him to BJP. “Bengal’s economic situation is bad and we need to get out of this soon, for that Bengal should be handed over to Modi”, said Suvendu Adhikari.

Suvendu Adhikari also raised strong criticism against Mamata Banerjee. Mamata Banerjee is no one’s mother. India has only one mother. That is Mother India. Suvendu said that Mamata Banerjee will lose power in the 2021 assembly elections.

Along with Suvendu Adhikari, 11 other MLA’s, one MP and one former MP also joined BJP in the presence of Amit Shah. Silbhadra Dutta, Tapsi Mondal, Ashok Dinda, Sudip Mukherjee, Saikath Panja, Dipali Biswas, Sukra Munda, Shyamapda Mukherjee, Biswajit Kandu and Banasree Mighty are the MLA’s who have joined BJP along with Adhikari.

Suvendu Adhikari was termed to be Mamta Banerjee’s right-hand. He was the former Transport and Water resources Minister of West Bengal. The resignation was due to the constant neglect faced by the Trinamool Congress leadership. The resignation of Suvendu Adhikari had made the Trinamool Congress more defensive.
