Kottayam: The accusations against the convicts of Sister Abhaya murder case are unbelievable. Respects the court verdict, said the Kottayam Archdiocese on Wednesday.
The death of Sister Abhaya was tragic and unfortunate. The allegations against Fr. Thomas Kottur and Sister Sefi are unbelievable. However, the archdiocese respects the court’s decision. Defendants have the right to appeal against the verdict and to prove their innocence. However, we regret this situation, said Archdiocese in a pressnote.
Fr. Thoms and Sr. Seffi was awarded life imprisonment by the Special CBI Court after they were proven guilty. The verdict of the 28 year old case was pronounced yesterday by the court.
