The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, unveiled a portrait of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The unveiling was to mark the beginning of a year-long celebrations to commemorate 125th Birth Anniversary Year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
The government has decided to observe January 23 as ‘Parakram Diwas’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. A 85-member high-level committee managed by PM Modi has been formed to plan year-round programmes to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in West Bengal on 23 January to address ‘Parakram Diwas’ programme in Kolkata on Bose’s 125th birth anniversary.
