The agitating Farmers have clearly stated that they will continue the protest till the new farm laws are repealed by the Government. They have started strengthening the facilities and infrastructure at the borders to prepare for a long stay.
“We are strengthening our communication and other infrastructure to continue the agitation for a long period,” said Deep Khatri associated with managing logistics at the Singhu Border protest site.
They have installed around 100 CCTV cameras at the protest site and are also readying a control room to keep monitoring the movements of people. Over 600 volunteers have been patrolling the protest site to manage the traffic and keep a watch at night. They have been given a dress code and Identity card to easily identify them.
Work is on to install LCD screens for the protesters to watch speeches of leaders from the main stage. Electric fans and Air conditioners will also be installed at the main stage. Samyukta kisan Morcha is also hiring a separate optical fibre for wifi facility. They have also started a massage centre for the elderly people, to keep the protest going.
