Krishak Soho Bhoj, a programme to reach out to the farmers of West Bengal will be organised by Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kisan Morcha on February 28, 2021. The programme will be organised in 1,263 mandals.
“There are more than 70 lakh farmers in West Bengal and it is sad the state Government has not come up with a proper plan for the benefit of the farmers. There is not even a fasal bhima for the farmers,” said Mahadev Sarkar, President of BJP’s state Kisan Morcha.
In ‘Soho Bhoj’ every farmer’s family gives a fistful of uncooked rice along with other ingredients and cooked together. All the family members sit together for the meal.
Krishok Surakkha Abhiyan which commenced on January 9, had aimed at having Soho Bhoj with 3,354 gram panchayats and now they are also reaching out to the mandals.
