A total of 61 bodies and 28 body parts have been found till now following the glacial burst which caused a massive flood in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli District.
Out of those, 34 bodies and one body part have been identified and the rest are being identified after taking DNA samples from the family members and the bodies.
The State Department Rescue Force (SDRF) said that 12 teams are still in the rescue operation to find the missing people.
A water sensor warning system has been installed in the Raini village to warn for emergencies.
Nanda Devi glacier burst had caused a massive flood in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district and destroyed the Rishiganga Hydel Project. Over 200 people went missing after the flood, out of which some bodies have already been recovered and the rescue operation is still going on.
