Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan coined a new slogan “2 May Didi-gayi, BJP Aayi”. He arrived to visit poll-bound West Bengal on February 27 and offered prayers at Kalighat temple.

“Trinamool Congress did not let farmers benefit from the Centre’s policies. There is violence and corruption in the state. Till now 130 BJP workers sacrificed their lives and it will not go in vain. First it was communist then Congress who ruined Bengal and now TMC,” said Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The Election Commission of India announced that West Bengal will see eight-phase election. First phase of polling on March 27, second phase of polling on April 1, third phase of polling on April 6, fourth phase of polling on April 10, fifth phase of polling on April 17, sixth phase polling on April 22, seventh phase is on April 26 and final phase polling will be on April 29.
