A passenger claimed he was COVID positive on a Pune-bound flight after which there was chaos in Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The passenger announced that he was COVID 19 positive and informed flight crew on board. There was panic among rest of the passengers on the flight.
The entire incident happened when the flight was on runway and about to take off to Pune. The flight was delayed for two hours after the incident as the pilot of the aircraft turned back the flight from the runway.
They had to offload all the passengers in order to sanitize and change seat covers of the entire flight. The passenger who claimed he was COVID 19 positive was handed over to the medical authorities and his result came out positive after the test.
