Cyber-crimes have increased two fold during COVID 19 lockdown. Delhi Police organised online training for police personnel posted in District Cyber Cells and Police Station Cyber Teams.
Over 1000 personnel were trained through video-conferencing. Multiple sessions were conducted for police personnel on Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR) analysis, illegal call centre investigations, crypto-currency fraud investigations, investigation of frauds using new financial instruments.
They took measures against cyber-crimes at multiple levels and handled social media frauds. Action has also been taken against fraudsters peddling fake websites in the name of popular government schemes
