As part of Vaccine Maitri initiative to help countries fight against Coronavirus, the Made in India vaccines reached Jamaica on Monday.
“Caring for our Caribbean friends. Made in India vaccines have reached Jamaica. #VaccineMaitri,” tweeted S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs.
Last week, India had dispatched 175,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to other Caribbean countries- Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and Grenadines and Suriname.
Made in India vaccines also reached Mozambique, Belize, Tajikistan, Nicaragua, Ethiopia, Guyana, Somalia and London. India has been assisting other countries by sending Made in India vaccine under Vaccine Maitri Initiative. Twenty-five nations across the world have already received Made in India vaccines.
