Bharatiya Janata Party released its 40 star campaigners list for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly Elections. The first name on the list is of Prime Minister Narendra Modi followed by BJP National President JP Nadda and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The list of 40 star campaigners was submitted to the Election Commission.
The list also includes names of Mithun Chakraborty, Suvendu Adhikary, Yogi Adityanath, Smriti Irani, Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other popular celebrities and politicians.
The Election Commission of India announced that West Bengal will see eight-phase election. First phase of polling on March 27, second phase of polling on April 1, third phase of polling on April 6, fourth phase of polling on April 10, fifth phase of polling on April 17, sixth phase polling on April 22, seventh phase is on April 26 and final phase polling will be on April 29.
