The Delhi Police has arrested two persons in connection with the Red Fort violence case. Maninderjit Singh (a Dutch national settled in Birmingham, UK) and Khempreet Singh have been arrested by the Delhi Police.
Maninderjit was arrested from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport when he was trying to flee on forged travel documents.
The police said, Khempreet had assaulted police personnel on duty inside the walls of Red Fort with a spear. He was arrested on March 9, on the basis of the electronic surveillance.
Khempreet disclosed that on January 26, he along with his associates joined the unruly mob from Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar and finally reached the Red Fort after breaching the barricades at Burari and Chatta Rail.
