Ministry of External Affairs has received several requests for the supply of Indian manufactured COVID-19 vaccines from various foreign countries.
“Keeping in view the domestic requirements of the phased rollout, India will continue to supply COVID-19 vaccines to partner countries over the coming weeks and months in a phased manner. It will be ensured that domestic manufacturers will have adequate stocks to meet domestic requirements while supplying abroad,” Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
India has been supplying vaccines to many nations across the world to help them fight against Coronavirus. At the same time largest vaccine drive is also going on in India and there is enough stock for domestic use as well.
The leaders of other countries thanked Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the support by providing vaccines under Vaccine Maitri Initiative during tough times.
