Preparations are in full swing at the Central University of Kerala ahead of the visit of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which is expected to happen later this year. The Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) Committee, an expert panel appointed as part of this, submitted its report to the University after a three-day evaluation.
The committee headed by Kerala Science Academy President Prof. G.M. Nair has former registrar of Mahatma Gandhi University Prof. Jose James, Rohtak Maharshi Dayanand University Professor Ravinder Vinayak, Amritsar Guru Nanak University Professor Balwinder Singh, Bengaluru University Professor Narayanaswamy and former NAC advisor Prof. Madhusudhanan Pillai as members.
The committee after visiting all the departments and monitoring the activities noted that the university has been able to achieve great things within a short span of time and hailed the university for setting an example for the country by proving its social commitment by conducting covid tests during the covid period. It also observed that more plans have to be formulated and implemented to advance in the NAAC Ranking. The report was handed over to Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. Venkateshwarlu.
Addressing the gathering at the University, Vice-Chancellor reminded the importance of striving hard to make good progress keeping in mind NAAC’s evaluation processes based on robust, objective, and transparent indicators. He directed faculties to plan in advance keeping in mind the next 50 years. Registrar Dr. M. Muralidharan Nambiar presided over the function. Academic Dean Prof.K.P. Suresh delivered the welcome speech while Dr. Rajesh R expressed the vote of thanks.
