India on Friday (March 26) recorded 59, 118 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the country’s caseload to 1,18,46,652.
The active cases in the country are 4,21,066. In the last 24 hours 32,987 people recovered. The country witnessed 257 deaths mounting the death toll to 1,60,949.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that a total of 23,86,04,685 samples have been tested so far for coronavirus. Out of this 11,00,756 were tested in the last 24 hours.
Over 5.5 cr (5,55,04,440) vaccine doses have been administered through 9,01,887 sessions, with over 23 lakh vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
