Ahead of polling in Nandigram, Bhartiya Janata Party wrote to the State Election Commission of West Bengal today (March 31) and requested them to take serious action infiltration of illegitimate voters of other constituencies and nationalities in Nandigram through the ferry route.
“Trinamool Congress sensing its defeat has constantly been adopting mechanisms such as infiltrating people from different constituencies and nationalities in Nandigram. This is an insult to the voters of Nandigram constituency and also depriving them and snatching away their statutory right to choose their representatives,” the letter read.
Nandigram will witness one of the most interesting contests between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari along with 30 other Assembly constituencies in the second phase polling on April 1.
