Voting for the third phase of the eight phase Assembly elections began today morning at 7 am in West Bengal. Voting is taking place in 31 constituencies amid tight security. Voter turnout of 34.71 per cent was recorded till 11:30 am. A total of 205 candidates are in the fray.
The Assam Assembly election is being conducted in three phases. Voting for 40 seats in the third phase of the Assam elections 2021 started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm today (April 6). There are 337 candidates in the fray for the 40 constituencies. Voter turnout of 33.18% was recorded in Assam till 11am.
There are altogether 79,19,641 voters of which 40,11,539 are men, 39,07,963 are women and 139 are transgender who will be exercising their franchise in 11,401 polling booths in Assam.
