“It is not Night Curfew but ‘Corona Curfew’ since it is meant to create more awareness among the public about the pandemic since after first phase people started neglecting and lessons from Lockdown was not understood by the people who like to walk without wearing masks and fail to follow the guidelines,” Minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Saturday.

The ‘Corona Curfew’ will be in force from 2200 to 0500 hrs for the next 20 days in the cities Bengaluru City, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Udupi-Manipal, bidar, Kalaburgi and Tumakuru.

Except for some exempted people, nobody will be allowed on the streets after 10 hrs. However, essential services, the travelling public, people returning from second shift or going to night duty with valid proof were exempted.
Bengaluru City will be virtually sealed after 2200 hrs by putting barricades on important roads and vehicles will not be allowed to ply.
