Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said the pandemic situation is very serious and stressed on making long-term arrangements for fighting against COVID-19.
Speaking on the occasion of inaugural function of a private 100-bed COVID-19 care centre at the National Cancer Centre in Nagpur, Nitin Gadkari said the pandemic is very serious and stressed on making long-term arrangements for fighting the pandemic.
“The present situation is very serious and no one knows how long it will last. People should think for the best but prepare for the worst,” Gadkari said.
He further said up to 300 beds are being added at the AIIMS Nagpur and oxygen stock for the hospital is being sourced from Visakhapatnam.
Gadkari, apprising about various arrangements made by him , said medical oxygen supply of 40 tonnes have been made available from Bhillai for Nagpur hospitals.
He further assured 1,000 ventilators from Medical Devices Park centre in Visakhapatnam, will soon be made available to Nagpur hospitals.
