Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced six days lockdown in Delhi starting from 2200 hrs tonight till 0500 hrs of April 26 in view of an unprecedented rise in Covid-19 cases.
This announcement came after Kejriwal met with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal.
Essential Services will continue, detailed order will be released in a short while, the Delhi Chief Minister said while addressing a digital press conference here.
Marriages can be held with a gathering of only 50 people and passes will be issued separately for it, he said.
Kejriwal also appealed to the migrant labourers not to leave Delhi.
“I appeal to you with folded hands. It’s a small lockdown, only for 6 days. Don’t leave Delhi. I am there, trust me. The Delhi government will take full care of you,” he said.
