Thiruvananthapuram: Left fellow traveller Cherian Philip, who has been denied Rajya Sabha seat by CPI(M) twice, has said he will be writing a book, titled as Left and Right, on Kerala’s political history in the last 40 years.
In a Facebook post, he said the new book will talk about the undercurrents and background dramas in various political parties.
The book will also portray historic incidents in the most objective and honest way, Philip added.
Announcing that he will be switching to writing again giving a break to the busy political life, he said he is leaving active politics and has decided to devote more time to writing books.
Cherian said now his effort is to collect materials for his book which would take six months. The new one will the second part of his book ‘Kaal Noottandu’ that was released 25 years ago, he added.
Meanwhile, an editorial of Veekshanam daily, the mouth piece of Congress in Kerala, said Cherian Philip was betrayed by CPI-M twice by assuring him Rajya Sabha seat.
Cherian Philip expressed his decision to write the book soon after the CPI(M) nominated Journalist and Kairali TV Managing Director John Brittas and V Sivadas to the Rajya Sabha.
