In a big respite to cope with the oxygen shortage in Uttar Pradesh, the special Oxygen Express train from Bokaro has reached the state.
A total of 4 tankers, each of 20,000 liters liquified oxygen reached UP, in which one tanker was for Varanasi and rest 3 for Lucknow .
Of the three tankers delivered in Lucknow, one is slated to be rushed to Kanpur, as the city was facing acute shortage of oxygen.
Officials here on Saturday said the special Oxygen Express train reached Lucknow, at 0700 hours and the tankers have been despatched to designated places.
However another Oxygen special train with four tankers left for Bokaro on Saturday morning at 0530 hrs from Lucknow which is expected to return back on Monday.
Railways have specially built a green corridor for this oxygen express. The train will reach Bokaro directly and return back without stopping anywhere.
Meanwhile , Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has inaugurated digital platform “Oxygen Monitoring System for UP” for all government and private hospitals here on Friday night .
