Yogi dares opposition to compare UP with other states in controlling Covid

Launching a scathing attack on the fake news spreaders, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday dared them to compare the performance of other states with Uttar Pradesh in terms of efforts to contain the exponential spread of COVID-19 infection.

“The fake news regarding COVID-19 disease has been spreading quicker than the virus itself across Uttar Pradesh. Some miscreants have been trying to mislead people through their lies about the arrangements in the state hospitals,” said the CM here on Wednesday.

Recently opposition leaders like Priyanka Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav have been attacking the Chief Minister saying the government has failed to provide relief to the people. They even said that the government’s claims were nothing but a bundle of lies.

He also dared them to prove their claims with data. “The people who are spreading misinformation about the healthcare facilities in Uttar Pradesh can compare our performance in terms of providing adequate facilities to the ailing people with other states, and they will see themselves how serious we are towards saving their lives,” CM added.

Interestingly, in Uttar Pradesh, the number of patients recovered from COVID-19 is more than the number of patients admitted. Also, as compared to yesterday, today the state has witnessed 2000 fewer cases, while Delhi, which has way less population, recorded over 24,000 new cases on the same day.

Imposing all the restrictions required to keep the surge of COVID-19 cases, the Yogi Government said that apart from saving lives it is also working to provide them livelihood.
