Hyderabad: To help meet the urgent requirement of Oxygen supply at hospitals and Medical Institutions in various parts of the country, DRDO has arranged oxygen cylinders from its resources.
In this regard, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, DRDO, Hyderabad handed over 200 Oxygen cylinders on Saturday.
Of them, 100 oxygen cylinders were handed over to Andhra Pradesh government and 50 oxygen cylinders each to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and Secunderabad Cantonment.
These cylinders are of 46.7 liters water capacity each and can be pressurized upto 150 bars. Each of these cylinders can store 7,000 liters of oxygen.
These cylinders are high pressure seamless cylinders certified by Bureau of Indian Standards and approved by PESA (Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organisation), Government of India, a DRDO release here said.
