Thiruvananthapuram: P C George has secured bail related to the speeches he delivered during Ananthapuri Hindu Mahasammelanam and at Vennala Mahadeva temple. High court has granted bail in Thiruvananthapuram speech case and anticipatory bail in Vennala speech case.
Though the Government strongly argued to deny his bail , the court considered P C’s bail plea in which P C promised to abide the court’s bail conditions. The court observed there is no meaning in keeping him under custody.
P C George was arrested on May 1 for his speech in Thiruvananthapuram and was given bail on the same day. And later, on the basis of another case registered at Palarivattom police station, for violating the bail conditions, he was arrested on May 25.
