Srinagar: In a seventeen hour long encounter at Gundipora area in Pulwama, two terrorists killed and two Jaish e Mohammed terrorists trapped, report says. Arms including AK rifle seized and the encounter is still on . Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar said that terrorist Abid Shah, the murderer of constable Reyaz Ahmed is one among the trapped.
Based on the input, security forces and police started search operations in the area on Sunday evening, and the militants opened fire.
Eighty four terrorists have been killed in various encounters this year. 44 active terrorists and their 183 aides have been arrested. Furthermore, 16 security personnel martyred and 14 civilians lost their lives so far.
