Thiruvananthapuram: While attending a developmental seminar in Vilappilsala , Thiruvananthapuram, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the state cannot move on with K Rail project without the consent of Central Government. He blamed the opposition parties’ protests against the developmental policies of the state government. CM said that the intention of the opposition should be exposed.
It is the first time the CM, who has so far reiterated that the K Rail project will be implemented at any cost, has made a statement against the project. It is said that the recent by election results in Thrikkakara constituency had a great impact on CM’s decision.
Meanwhile, the ongoing protests against Chief Minister continue across the state and armed CPM workers are deployed to defend the protestors. Several protestors are injured in the attack by DYFI goons.
