Heavy rain likely in Telangana in next three days : Met

Hyderabad, June 15 (UNI) Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy and Narayanpet districts of Telangana during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday.

In a bulletin here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri and Nagarkurnool districts of the state on June 16.

Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana on June 17.

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds with speed ranging 30-40 kmph is likely to occur at isolated places in many districts of the state during the next 48 hours.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Rangareddy district and heavy rainfall at a few places in Nagarkurnool , Wanaparthy and Nalgonda districts of Telangana during the last 24 hours. Rain occurred at a few places in the state during the same period.

The highest maximum temperature of 40.8 degrees celsius was recorded at Bhadrachalam on Tuesday, the bulletin added.
