New Delhi: Many parts of Delhi received heavy rainfall that lasted for hours. The rainfall led to water logging and traffic jams in various areas, disrupting daily life of  Delhiites.

Downpour helped in bringing down the high atmospheric temperature that rose due to  summer heat, and also improved the quality of air, said climate experts. Meanwhile, the nearby place Chandigarh marked a pleasant climate.

The Central Meteorological Department says in the coming days, high possibility exists for rainfall in different locations including Western Himalayan Region, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Isolated rain is expected in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand tomorrow and day after tomorrow.
