Srinagar: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the unrest persisting in Jammu is sowed by Pakistan. He also hinted that the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held by the end of this year.

Out of the 90 assembly constituencies, 43 are located in Jammu and 47 in Kashmir region.

Rajnath Singh blamed that Pakistan is continuously trying to disrupt the social structure of India by creating unnecessary tensions in Kashmir region. And he said the series of murders reported in the region are well planned and that again given rise to fear in Kashmiri Pandits who have been living in that regions.

He urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir not to go beyond religion and caste. There are always some forces here trying to break this social structure. They have resumed their efforts to spread hatred in Kashmir. The neighbouring Pakistan had played a major role in sowing the seeds of hatred here, he added.

There is  foreign conspiracy behind the 1947 attacks and the recent assassinations. He said the Center would not allow any community living in Jammu and Kashmir to flee by force. The Defence Minister was on a two-day visit to Kashmir.
