Jaipur: A case has been filed against an Imam for giving drugs and torturing a boy inside the mosque. The complaint was given by a 17-year-old boy, resident of Subhash Chowk, against his Imam, Hasif Sarfaraz. As per the details given in the complaint, the boy was tortured on the day of Ramadan.

The boy who reached Madrasa was taken by Sarfaraz to the masjid  . He gave him sarbath (a flavoured drink) mixed with drugs. Later the unconscious boy was subjected to continuous torture and abuses.

Hours later, the boy regained consciousness and realised he had been abused. The Imam threatened him that he would kill the boy if he disclosed the incidents and out of fear the boy kept this as a secret.

But later, when he disclosed this matter with his family they approached the nearby police station to register a complaint against the Imam.

Police have registered a case against the Madrasa Imam Sarfaras. The case has been registered under the POCSO Act. The child underwent a medical examination and it is learned that Sarfaras will be arrested soon.
