New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has headed the mass yoga event conducted at Palace Ground, Mysuru. Around 12,000 people from various parts of the world have participated in the yoga event. Mysuru royal family have also participated in the programme.
As the country is celebrating 75th year of Independence as Azadi ka amrit mahotsav, 75 Union Ministers perform yoga at 75 historical places.
On eight International Yoga Day, PM greeted all people and said that yoga brings peace to all nations and the world. This universe starts with our body and soul. In other words, the entire universe begins from us. Yoga is not a part of life, but the way of life, PM added.
‘Yoga for Humanity’ is the theme of this year. A total of 25,000 crores of people are expected to participate in various yoga events worldwide.
