Puri: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik has made a 7 foot sculpture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with 6 tons of sand at a beach in Puri.
The sculpture was made in the theme of ‘Surya Namaskar’, depicting Prime Minister Modi performing it.
Sudarsan Patnaik said that he made the sand sculpture of Narendra Modi because Modi has a significant role in spreading the importance of yoga at the international level.
Modi has been practicing yoga for last 10 years and his strong body and powerful mind is the results of the daily yoga practice. Patnaik added that he always tries to make different themes in sand art. His campaigns received a wide range of appreciation by WHO during the time of Covid-19.
Different programmes are being organized to celebrate the International Yoga Day, today. The Message of this year is ‘Yoga for Humanity ’
