Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath takes strong action against the Agnipath protestors who destroyed the public properties. As part of the protests, police arrested around 1120 people so far. Among them, 595 people were reported to be arrested yesterday. The government’s decision is to impose a fine after calculating the sum of the items destroyed.

Police would behave well with the protestors and would take strict actions against people who were involved in destroying police vehicles and burning trains, said Additional Director General, Prasanth Kumar.

District police officials and field officers have been instructed to begin recovery measures after identifying individuals who destroyed public property during the agitations.

Sanjay Shukla, Technical Chief General Manager of UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), said the corporation has been asked to assess the damage caused to buses during the protest.
