Mumbai: Shiv Sena Balasaheb MLA Deepak Kesarkar has said that Uddhav Thackeray should try to make an alliance with the BJP. What is happening now is not a revolt but a struggle to save the self-esteem of Shiv Sena. Kesarkar also said that people give approval for the Shiv Sena – BJP alliance.
Hindutva is the mainstream of the BJP and the Shiv Sena and the latter could not be excluded from that, said Kesarkar.
Meanwhile, BJP has repeatedly stated that it is not ready for any kind of compromise with Uddhav Thackeray.
As per reports, BJP has already confirmed the support of 170 MLAs in Maharashtra assembly and there are indications that BJP will immediately ask for a pro-tem speaker in the assembly.
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been in constant contact with the BJP national leadership.
Currently, all BJP MLAs are staying in Mumbai.
